Poe, Richmond, discusses Tucker's poetry and his own, humor and levity, the function of the reviewer, his stories "Morella" and "Manuscript found in a bottle," versification, andhis parents noting "the want of parental affection has been the heaviest of my trials." He mentions Philip Pendleton Cooke and praises the later poetry of Pope and that of Thomas Moore.
